In 1979 husband and wife team Pauline and Ian were inspired to renovate this then ruin of a mill.
The English couple newly back from living in Australia fell in love with the atmosphere that surrounds Pulhams Mill.

Pauline Clements is an illustrator and has designed 9 books.  She has illustrated for the National Trust and places such as Chatsworth House, York Minster, etc.   She can often be seen painting bone china mugs and tea sets for the shop.
Ian Mawby’s craftsmanship and attention to detail is mirrored in his superb quality furniture which is made in the workshop, opposite. His experience results in elegant and imaginative designs of tables, chairs, dressers, sideboards and coffee tables, etc.
